Golden Hill offers 24-hour skilled nursing, post-hospital and post-surgical care for those who have complex round-the-clock care needs. Long-Term Care promotes our residents' emotional health as well as their physical well-being.

Golden Hill provides rehabilitative services that are designed to assist residents with physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and/or communication impairments. The coordinated efforts of an\ interdisciplinary team contribute to each resident's rehabilitation with the goal of a safe and successful return home. The Golden Hill philosophy always seeks for residents to get better/well.

Golden Hill provides short-term stays for those occasions when the caretaker of a loved one needs time off to take a vacation, travel on business, or relocate. The time gives the caretaker the opportunity to return well rested with a fresh outlook to provide care to your loved one.

Golden Hill's Dementia Care Unit offers a specialized program for residents with cognitive impairment. This program provides a flexible, therapeutic plan that is individualized to meet the needs of residents with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. A full-time music therapist and activities professional provide daily cognitive stimulating groups, gross motor groups, and music therapy groups. Residents are paired with activities based on their cognitive stats and functional abilities so that they may receive the full benefit from each group they attend. Outside entertainment as well as self-entertainment items are provided for variety and spontaneity.

The Dementia Care Unit is a secure unit for residents who may wander. We also provide an outside, covered patio that is also secure so that residents may enjoy pleasant weather and gardening. Staff provides a calm and relaxing atmosphere to promote independence and decrease potential behavior concerns. Relationships are promoted with consistent resident/caregiver assignments. Our goal is for residents with cognitive impairment to be able to live in a safe, secure environment with independence and dignity.

Golden Hill has arrangements with preferred providers who have agreed to abide by established best practices. Residents’ contracted hospice providers are also welcome at Golden Hill.Hospice providers, in conjunction with Golden Hill staff, tailor a resident- and family-centered hospice care program. When staff and hospice providers work together, residents with end-of-life needs receive high-quality, hospice care while remaining at Golden Hill. All eligible residents who desire to receive hospice care are served. Hospice consultations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
